Day FOUR, more color !

Starting to get a nice little pile of colory eye-candy now !

Today, I must have gotten alot of other stuff done, because I don't see alot of piecing here !
But, I got the blue flower print blocks made, penciled out the blue spatter print, ready for tomorrow's sewing adventure, and marked a couple extra in each fabric, to help fill out the extra row I'm piecing.
I also got all the rest of the sawtooth border's triangles pieced and all of them pressed.  Tomorrow will hopefully see them being trimmed to perfection.

In addition, today I cut out all of the alternate blocks, half from each of two fabrics.   And looking ahead, it looks like I will have just enough fabric for everything.

I don't know exactly WHAT else I did today, (let's see, there was laundry, mowing and gardening, sweeping, dishes, dinner, running to town.......) but whatever it was, it has knocked me out !  I almost waited too late to post tonight, that's how tired I am.

I truly think part of it is from finally talking to my grandbabies today.  I MISS THEM SO MUCH !
Zoe sounds like a little adult, and T.J. just makes me want to reach through the phone and pull him to me when he says, "Nana, I wish you could sleep here tonight."  I want my babies........I could hear Seth in the background crying, and hear him quiet down the moment daddy picked him up.  I want that to be me quieting him just a couple of times, too.

Well, GOD has a plan and a purpose for it all, doesn't he?  I just wish I hadn't complained so much when I had the babies living with me.  I am so thankful now for the time I had those babies around.

I'm tired, and I'm turning in.  Night, all.

  1. Hi girl! This is the first day I've had time to go online for a while, just read all your posts that I missed. You are making great progress on this quilt and it looks like fun! Great colors you're working with too.

I love the his and hers aprons in your other post, that is too sweet:)

I hope it's not too long till you get to see your darling grandbabies.
