A week ago, we here in Middle Tennessee got one of the biggest snowfalls that I have seen in years around here, and I forgot to blog about it . And the hardest part of that was the below zero temperatures that came along afterwards.</span></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFCSR5nYlEy6eRHHw61Zr0QJPeQZI-otgGubXfrCAIJHdW3BFWl7ThgtnIbd-xRT4MM5g6uJ0pxhMM7RSuR9LMFR3dod-0If5q7fdAmz5Dr5h1qeLmmyAn6wYK5Eo29FXfyJmPGyVQ3if7zJEUIOa8LcSMI21dM1Oici7T3IRhmCm0PQ6narzk2ZT1sMw/s2048/Downtown%20Hohenwald,%20Jan.%2018,%202024,%20swiped%20from%20FB%20%20Snowstorm,%20Jan.%2014,15,16..jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFCSR5nYlEy6eRHHw61Zr0QJPeQZI-otgGubXfrCAIJHdW3BFWl7ThgtnIbd-xRT4MM5g6uJ0pxhMM7RSuR9LMFR3dod-0If5q7fdAmz5Dr5h1qeLmmyAn6wYK5Eo29FXfyJmPGyVQ3if7zJEUIOa8LcSMI21dM1Oici7T3IRhmCm0PQ6narzk2ZT1sMw/w480-h640/Downtown%20Hohenwald,%20Jan.%2018,%202024,%20swiped%20from%20FB%20%20Snowstorm,%20Jan.%2014,15,16..jpg" width="480" /></a></span></div><span style="font-size: large;"> </span><span style="font-size: small;">Downtown Main Street (not my photo)<br /></span><p></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="font-size: large;"> But even with concerns that pipes might freeze , and a little scare with my heat pump, God's gracious mercy saw me through again. I think that I could actually enjoy doing MORE fmq if I had a big table/cabinet that my Jazz 2 was sunken down into. I use a SewSteady extension table, 18 x 24 inches, that came with the machine, but the quilt gets hung up on the edges of it, and lifts it up when I try to reposition the quilt. I just don't think that I have room for those, even if I was willing to put out the big expense. <br /></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="font-size: large;">I bound it totally by machine, on my JukiTL2010q, using that 1//16th-inch left compensating foot that I am so appreciating. What a wonderful top-stitch it makes SO NEAR the folded edge.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="font-size: large;"></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="font-size: large;">Speaking of bindings, I have been invited to assist the ladies in our church that are making quilts for a good cause. They were sorely in need of another stitcher, and I am happy to help. I've bound 3 fairly big quilts for them so far (they do prefer that I do the finishing by hand). We may even have a road trip to Marshall Dry Goods in our very near future.......I think that could be fun, although it IS a 6 hour drive each way ! Stay tuned for news about that.<br /><br />. </span></span><br /></p>Dollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01538342558750190865noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8441102595754363112.post-87414800472736086892024-01-17T21:34:00.001-06:002024-01-17T21:35:48.393-06:00Snow Days ! I still need to get it bound, but am waiting on a special (backordered) foot to arrive. I got this Rolling Stone quilt thread-basted, probably a couple of months ago, now, but just put it aside, not knowing if I wanted to quilt it by hand or by machine. (So glad that I rolled up and tacked the backing fabric around the edges to contain the extra batting) I finally started some hand-quilting on it a few days ago, and it is going pretty quickly right now. I do one stone block per evening, and some of the ditch-quilting on the flying geese borders. There are 12 stone blocks, and I have done six already, but there are MANY other blocks, as alternates and side/corner setting triangles, plus an outer plain border. Looks like this one may be done in stages as my fingers toughen up again. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3ziy4yK4SLmaCvwazXJpVg49FCjKLRpkDCCyyEoirzkpsG5E9A3LfKNI-dlAYGCIFASJwAgTB0Xwq4Xsk1HrbRZGt-m9vakBsG30c6vZJIueT98eWQr_Kf8faHwnLYg9OoeBA6CeyY8sAvdRttbnzjXyC4iKH1T7P7T-qDuuLvJYQKAgtEGxzq8jKHOc/s4032/Rolling%20Stone,%20being%20hand-quilted.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3ziy4yK4SLmaCvwazXJpVg49FCjKLRpkDCCyyEoirzkpsG5E9A3LfKNI-dlAYGCIFASJwAgTB0Xwq4Xsk1HrbRZGt-m9vakBsG30c6vZJIueT98eWQr_Kf8faHwnLYg9OoeBA6CeyY8sAvdRttbnzjXyC4iKH1T7P7T-qDuuLvJYQKAgtEGxzq8jKHOc/w480-h640/Rolling%20Stone,%20being%20hand-quilted.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><br /><br /></span></span><p></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: large;"><span><br /><br /><br /></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: large;"><span> </span></span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="font-size: large;"> <br /></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></span><br /></p>Dollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01538342558750190865noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8441102595754363112.post-37065947895722983042023-10-11T14:08:00.008-05:002023-10-14T15:27:48.124-05:00FINISH........Modest Tiles quilt, including update<p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="font-size: large;"> These are follow-up photos to <a href="http://dollyshome.blogspot.com/2023/09/modest-tiles-basted-and-ready-to-be.html" target="_blank">my earlier post</a>, As you can see, I finished this quilt. He's now well over 6 feet tall, and he told me that he had outgrown the last throw that I made for him, so Nana had to get it in gear and correct that.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqTGc6_29u0vtJ7wD0_9xXd8edA3mIcX7_u6TCVlsIAqochhkM8SC15qlkL0mZFY9GEXZLnyXORtMFcmmAolwGr6SJwjL5OB_CumR-DWB6bImTjZG0dTFOwBttWNy4fRczq5f__nmXNVNHHKiiLPy3Ad7qgGSbziHvr2RvTAVCrlnkneUA0gz4lgllzPg/s4160/T.J.'s%20Modest%20Tiles%20quilt,%20finished%20on%20Nana's%20bed.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4160" data-original-width="3120" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqTGc6_29u0vtJ7wD0_9xXd8edA3mIcX7_u6TCVlsIAqochhkM8SC15qlkL0mZFY9GEXZLnyXORtMFcmmAolwGr6SJwjL5OB_CumR-DWB6bImTjZG0dTFOwBttWNy4fRczq5f__nmXNVNHHKiiLPy3Ad7qgGSbziHvr2RvTAVCrlnkneUA0gz4lgllzPg/w480-h640/T.J.'s%20Modest%20Tiles%20quilt,%20finished%20on%20Nana's%20bed.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>That's my bed.........the quilt is currently on it's way all the way across the United States. <table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhf6h0JlKENtqIcbCpPHYMM_MVGRUgTxzUIT3DGfs3axFaPNT2e5QWXUdGNVcr8v1i0BQk3LXYdNk5BnVgZgC8xaofLbaEpPfvxYDICCMLRbp3ZjigVUdy1XJQjqnbg2CraOY472Cq2lRb_8sZzGgKwoBWb7s8vOHDu34OGT55U1a8fjqityHyh_nROAsg/s4160/T.J.'s%20Modest%20Tiles%20quilt,%20finished,%20showing%20backing.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4160" data-original-width="3120" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhf6h0JlKENtqIcbCpPHYMM_MVGRUgTxzUIT3DGfs3axFaPNT2e5QWXUdGNVcr8v1i0BQk3LXYdNk5BnVgZgC8xaofLbaEpPfvxYDICCMLRbp3ZjigVUdy1XJQjqnbg2CraOY472Cq2lRb_8sZzGgKwoBWb7s8vOHDu34OGT55U1a8fjqityHyh_nROAsg/w480-h640/T.J.'s%20Modest%20Tiles%20quilt,%20finished,%20showing%20backing.jpg" width="480" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"> 100% Hobbs bleached white cotton batting inside....hope I quilted it closely enough for it to withstand the washing machine !<br /></td></tr></tbody></table> One last photo.......I had a wider-than-usual piece of flannel that made for a wonderfully snuggly-feeling backing. I love the border of yellow squares, so I backed it with a piece of yellow gingham. Very happy with how it turned out, including the free-motion quilting in the borders. I dug out all of my binding strip leftovers and made it scrappy. I sewed the strips onto the back and finished them on the front using the new foot I bought, a 1/16th inch left compensating foot. It's beautiful to see that stitch line so very close to the fold of the binding, but also still possible to veer off once in awhile and miss the edge altogether. Makes you have to pay CLOSE attention, but surely makes for a quicker job than finishing by hand.</span><p></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="font-size: large;">I mentioned this quilt-top in my last post. This one gave me a perfect opportunity to try out my curvy ruler-quilting ruler. I made a few oopsies, but finally caught on to using the marks to match things up as I had to move the ruler down the length of the quilt. This ruler was actually intended for use with a longarm machine, being a bit thick for working on a domestic machine like my Jazz 2 from Babylock. <br /></span></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdpBXVcScM6ufIhPkhI0un_dsMvbUuZMxkEgNl2g7OaMD1q736lXNwKabRIvg1KAAnE3TtFs87tnQvSYwzygeQ5BDD3cHCRwxqua9EqhdBfydeCrEzh7322UZQbQuRR__VqbjIyHSUVQHYmfuONzyXEVt8OGBQqUdCbivVd80QRqECkynthm8yw0-bWLc/s4160/Strips-Weave%20ruler%20quilting.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4160" data-original-width="3120" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdpBXVcScM6ufIhPkhI0un_dsMvbUuZMxkEgNl2g7OaMD1q736lXNwKabRIvg1KAAnE3TtFs87tnQvSYwzygeQ5BDD3cHCRwxqua9EqhdBfydeCrEzh7322UZQbQuRR__VqbjIyHSUVQHYmfuONzyXEVt8OGBQqUdCbivVd80QRqECkynthm8yw0-bWLc/w480-h640/Strips-Weave%20ruler%20quilting.jpg" width="480" /></a></span></div><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: large;">After quilting the wavy design, I still didn't think it was enough, so I quilted down along the ditch of each vertical seam as well. Now I'm very pleased with the look of it, although I haven't laundered it to see how much it crinkles. As I've said before, on some of these quilts, I'd prefer that they retain that well-pressed look, but it's not a deal breaker either when they don't.</span><p></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="font-size: large;">Keeping to the scrappy theme, I brought out my leftovers binding strips that were already pressed in half. I lay them out around the perimeter of the quilt to get colors in the places that I wanted, and after stitching them to the quilt, I was well pleased with the final look. One more thing that I need to do is sew a label onto the back.............OH, THAT REMINDS ME...I didn't show you this pretty BACK ! I don't know that it actually coordinates with the quilt, but I just love it. It was with some fabrics that were donated to me. It has a coarse texture, and there were six identical pieces that were a bit bigger than fat quarters. I am very seriously thinking that these were feedsacks, although I can't find the big stitching holes that are usually caused by the thick thread with which they would have been stitched closed. Anyway....have a look. Marley Jo won't mind.</span></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgo4Zwnc7gEnDupmvH5ZHQk8s60xtu6aor-wcT5twNhOy3iOtu8PDskGh2eWbNdqAsRSNAYvJMvM-3-mr8qLihaisGIAh-n_cF1aPRO-QoOuRAHgjXoxIzM-extSmQVhtXuQhRUPYUspeKvUO5SER29CgHnnl_72ZptyRQ4PsF9iM_1daLbdOlo_SdHy8E/s4160/Strips-Weave,%20Marley%20with%20whole%20quilt%20backing.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4160" data-original-width="3120" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgo4Zwnc7gEnDupmvH5ZHQk8s60xtu6aor-wcT5twNhOy3iOtu8PDskGh2eWbNdqAsRSNAYvJMvM-3-mr8qLihaisGIAh-n_cF1aPRO-QoOuRAHgjXoxIzM-extSmQVhtXuQhRUPYUspeKvUO5SER29CgHnnl_72ZptyRQ4PsF9iM_1daLbdOlo_SdHy8E/w480-h640/Strips-Weave,%20Marley%20with%20whole%20quilt%20backing.jpg" width="480" /></a></span></div><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;">And, so, we finish here. His granny let me know that he has been dragging their little quilts out to use, and she suggested that he needed one of his own. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="font-size: large;">So, as soon as I finished the <a href="http://dollyshome.blogspot.com/2023/04/finish-nine-patch-squared.html" target="_blank">Nine-Patch Squared quilt, </a>shared in my last post,I started designing Isaiah's quilt. I had all of these fabrics, and after making the quilt top, I found out that he has a July birthday. Perfect, ......fireworks, stars and stripes, and baseballs for the backing. With bigger piecing (4 " finished squares in the nine-patches, and 8 inch in the frames),I'm leaving room for the poly batting to 'fluff'. She took all three without quibbling about the prices that I asked. </span></span><p></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;"> I'm happy that she's happy, and I'm ecstatic that this commission is fulfilled. (In fact, I was so thrilled to be finished --with this 3 months of work--that I didn't even get a photo of the last quilt after it was quilted !</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;">Finishing larger than the others, at 50" x 70", knowing that this quilt had lots of black, and being fresh out of the dryer, I didn't dare lay it on my carpet for a photo (remember, I have two in-house cats!), and these people are not pet people. I used an all cotton batting, and I have to say that with this one, I really loved the flat look of the pieced top MORE than the crinkly look of the laundered quilt. I'm finding that I now have to choose between cotton battings and polyester ones, dependent on the finished look that I want. I love the drape of cotton, but I enjoy the puffiness of the polyester sometimes, and the fact that it DOESN'T CRINKLE since I tend to prewash my fabrics. Of course, since I didn't prewash this batik fabric, being that it WAS cut as a jellyroll, it might have crinkled even with a poly batt.<br /></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;"> As far as the commissioning goes, I don't often take on requests, specifically because of the stress that I feel during the fulfillment of them, and also for the plain reason that I like to make what I feel like making. Sounds pretty selfish, but I'm not actually selfish with the finished product, just how I spend my time. She meant to make this commission easy by telling me to just make whatever I wanted since she loves any quilting that I do, but I worried the whole time that it just wouldn't turn out to be what she had in mind originally.<br /></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;"> As far as this quilt goes, I grabbed a batik jelly-roll that I have held onto for quite a few years, and was just going to sew it into strips of color-change. That went just fine until it came time to trim up the left and right sides to add a border. Even though the strips showed no sign of bowing, having sewn alternately from each end of the strip, somehow it just wouldn't trim up right. I was forced to come up with another idea, so I resorted to the idea of quilts that I had seen where they had cut the assembled strips into columns, turning the center one upside down.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;">Turns out that I like the new design much better than the original boring one ! Who knew (probably just about every quilter ever !)<br /></span></span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4kMiWOffjtH2mNEwwurgs2oEUS2Bdj02lpKOVbC8D4-gdBEZnABE15zJUEU97RFLaau1ZaSTLT-R-YPhUHpaS5DepiRLHmolDOFH2ObQFB0Dzw5HJjsCWTcOQn9LJH_ZEVhg-gQHmu2RJ9ajqNnWU_NN2hqlrMpGAXcqU79Nuu2a5RDBmjROoZFod/s2568/Color%20Stripes.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHBIyrRlt2vPlhQQSBdhd7dN4YWNKopKVM9rywYER-tCSvQKRJXqDYwmLH5ShLTnmTVx80_HEkEPgIwdzot4OogZF13-0uUPnYL7V2NAjVgKx_1ANlEapFboVzF0fSuzYXGDpW-KTqIHb7nTH9urC2zak151QgjEGPOoWfFrdwXL5Jy4R-Hg1wTAIR/s4160/Color%20Stripes,%20original%20plan.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4160" data-original-width="3120" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHBIyrRlt2vPlhQQSBdhd7dN4YWNKopKVM9rywYER-tCSvQKRJXqDYwmLH5ShLTnmTVx80_HEkEPgIwdzot4OogZF13-0uUPnYL7V2NAjVgKx_1ANlEapFboVzF0fSuzYXGDpW-KTqIHb7nTH9urC2zak151QgjEGPOoWfFrdwXL5Jy4R-Hg1wTAIR/w240-h320/Color%20Stripes,%20original%20plan.jpg" width="240" /></a><img border="0" data-original-height="2568" data-original-width="1862" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4kMiWOffjtH2mNEwwurgs2oEUS2Bdj02lpKOVbC8D4-gdBEZnABE15zJUEU97RFLaau1ZaSTLT-R-YPhUHpaS5DepiRLHmolDOFH2ObQFB0Dzw5HJjsCWTcOQn9LJH_ZEVhg-gQHmu2RJ9ajqNnWU_NN2hqlrMpGAXcqU79Nuu2a5RDBmjROoZFod/s320/Color%20Stripes.jpg" width="232" /></div></div><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;"> Mid-piecing I ran out of the black fabric, and found more yardage from a different manufacturer in my stash. I will probably throw several color-catchers into the wash even though I tried some of the fabric in a sink of cold water and saw no color release.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiz_K7R8zMWx1erBhEQN0nS5Uo8_qJBrMuJ17xPiBvqUVbj2LWarM89QASe63GDuNlrmkdI4HBdWuCQrmLf0L4zOynBdRTCYhVccGU86_JvM-YBh7TmuAMTn1nhpLcCN3Piv2g3o9gsZdmNtxCtUDW2lNVCaK913ekN1tX7dvtYRZLGhH71VWoHrfJ/s4032/Fat%20quarter%20squares%20on%20point,%20back%20with%20binding.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiz_K7R8zMWx1erBhEQN0nS5Uo8_qJBrMuJ17xPiBvqUVbj2LWarM89QASe63GDuNlrmkdI4HBdWuCQrmLf0L4zOynBdRTCYhVccGU86_JvM-YBh7TmuAMTn1nhpLcCN3Piv2g3o9gsZdmNtxCtUDW2lNVCaK913ekN1tX7dvtYRZLGhH71VWoHrfJ/w480-h640/Fat%20quarter%20squares%20on%20point,%20back%20with%20binding.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>I wasn't crazy about this quilt when I finished with the quilting, but that striped binding really brought up my appreciation for the finished quilt. I'm not big on repetition. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;">But, anyway, I'm not staying at this post for long........just really wanted to document the making of this back, and what I was doing on this first day of 2023.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;">I hope you got to spend some time doing what you enjoy most, and that this year brings you closer to the LORD, which will naturally also bring you many days of joy !</span></span></p><p><span style="color: #6aa84f;"><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">HAPPY NEW YEAR !</span></b></span><br /></p>Dollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01538342558750190865noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8441102595754363112.post-21051837997562754372022-12-27T18:34:00.002-06:002022-12-31T13:06:46.899-06:00ANOTHER FINISH???????????????? I mailed it off to her address in Nashville the next day, and she received it the day after that, Dec. 29th. She snuggled with it on the couch on her day off ! Give THANKS in ALL THINGS !<p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;"> Just a bit different Christmas Day this year.........first and foremost, it fell on a Sunday, and our church had a wonderful service, coming together to worship our LORD and Savoir, Jesus Christ. Oh, the tears that came to my eyes as a young man, who is battling addiction with the help of our LORD, sang "OH HOLY NIGHT".</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;">Breathtaking ! Glory to God !</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;"> And I want to take this opportunity to blog about our cold blast we've had to welcome in Winter 2022/2023. I witnessed my front porch thermometer showing 10 below zero on Thursday night, and a bit colder Friday morning. We had probably 2 inches of snow mixed with sleet. I was blessed to not lose running water, as I left a stream going at the kitchen and bathroom sinks, and at the bathtub faucet. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;">The state did what they called "running blackouts" on Saturday, Christmas Eve, to try to alleviate the heavy toll on the electrical power system. Many people were without power even before that, but I was blessed to only have mine down for the 35 minutes that they cut it off.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;">Waterwise, many people found that they were without running water yesterday and today, or that they had very low water pressure. I had low, but sufficient pressure today and was able to share. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;">The city announced that there is a problem with our water supply now, and we are all instructed to boil any water that we are going to consume (drink/ brush our teeth/ wash dishes). So I've boiled some today for drinking and for washing dishes, plus, I threw out all the ice that my freezer had made........ But tonight, while taking trash to my outside can, I heard water splashing against the inside of my mobile home's underpinning. It seemed to be coming from the area where my fridge with icemaker is connected. My neighbor came right down and turned my water line off until he can have a look tomorrow to see what exactly is wrong. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;">Thankfully, I got my dishes done earlier, and built up a supply of water to hold me over for awhile. <br /></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;">I thank the LORD for the good neighbors I have that help me and constantly check to make sure that I am okay since I live alone. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;">Hopefully, I will update this blog as things progress. God is good, God is faithful........HE'S NEVER FAILED ME YET !<br /></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana;"> </span></span> <br /></p>Dollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01538342558750190865noreply@blogger.com1
