I started this quilty just a few days after Christmas. I no longer put up a tree to decorate at Christmas-time, now that it's just me in the home, but after seeing this design in an old magazine, I decided that I would enjoy having this faux tree on my quilt rack next year. I pieced it over a few days time, and quilted it on my Jazz II machine. As a bonus, it has a flannel backing, and the quilt is just big enough to cover me from the hips down while relaxing in front of the television.
