“I have given skill to all the skillful, so that they may make all that I have commanded you. “ Exodus 31:6

“O Thou who art the all pervading glory of the world, we bless Thee for the power of beauty to gladden our hearts.
We praise Thee that even the least of us may feel a thrill of the creative joy when we give form and substance to our thoughts and, beholding our handiwork, find it good and fair. “.
Walter Rauschenbusch

"Come, and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me.
I cried out to Him with my mouth; His praise was on my tongue.
If I had cherished sin in my heart, the LORD woud not have listened and heard my voice in prayer.
Praise be to God, Who has not rejected my prayer or withheld His love from me!" Psalm 66:16-20

Fruits of Fall--sensing a theme here.......

.........could we say that I'm working well ahead of schedule?

I've finished another Fall-themed quiltie, but, truly, I'm definitely NOT working ahead.  This poor little wall-hanging was started way back in the '90's sometime.  The pattern was contained in a calendar featuring a different wall-hanging for each month of the year.  I can't remember who the quilt artist or company publishing the calendar was.   It's amazing that I even held onto the project for this long, but, the point is, I finally finished it.
The top is machine-pieced, and hand-appliqued.  It was hand-quilted in  small q-snap frames, employs cotton batting, and measures about 28 inches square.  I used a bright plaid fabric for the back of it.

  3. Wolf i cant remember her first name but it was on a calendar with a pattern each month. WELLLLL i have been cleaning my sewing room. i have moved all my 1900 fabric to the closet and have put my new modern fabric to the cabinets. what a mess only found 1 fiddle back pretty good for all the c--- i have everywhere in there. anyway i am exhausted and frustrated. i will never ever quilt all this fabric in my lifetime. i am at the point i even cannot remember why i bought some of it. wow i have some GORGEOUS fabric !!!! i am at the point i have to do more complicated quits or i dont feel the $$$$ we spend for fabric is okay when we do something toooo quick and spend 200.00 just for the top and not the back. also, did you get in on the fabric.com sale wow, i did i got a bunch of fabric. i got some of the girlie girl for tansy's quilt of course one of them they did not have the fabric anymore after i ordered it ,but went back on line and got a different version for the back, it did not matter i just wanted the extra 30% off of the fabric, got a few more pieces i needed and did not feel like they stripped me down.
well better get back to cleaning. Loved talking to you the other night. we need to do that more often
