“I have given skill to all the skillful, so that they may make all that I have commanded you. “ Exodus 31:6

“O Thou who art the all pervading glory of the world, we bless Thee for the power of beauty to gladden our hearts.
We praise Thee that even the least of us may feel a thrill of the creative joy when we give form and substance to our thoughts and, beholding our handiwork, find it good and fair. “.
Walter Rauschenbusch

"Come, and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me.
I cried out to Him with my mouth; His praise was on my tongue.
If I had cherished sin in my heart, the LORD woud not have listened and heard my voice in prayer.
Praise be to God, Who has not rejected my prayer or withheld His love from me!" Psalm 66:16-20

It's that time again......

.......Internet Hiatus time, I mean.  Everytime my bundle price runs out, I take a leave of absence from home net access, and it begins again at midnight tonight !

So, I'll miss you 'til we 'chat' again, hopefully with me checking in sometimes at the library.

But I'll leave you with the last of my September pics !

Love to all !
Here's one last bouquet from Summer/Fall of 2014

It's been a big week !

I finished the little quilt that I was hand-quilting.

I've named it

GARDEN'S GATE
It measures around 40 inches by 46 inches. It is my own original design.  I pieced and appliqued it atleast a year ago, probably quite a bit longer ago.

I quilted each of the brown diamonds into 4 sections, and quilted a smaller diamond in the center of each colorful diamond.

Each border received a different quilting design; the top and right borders were quilted by following the design elements in the prints; the left border used a stencil of flower and vine, and the bottom border received vertical lines one inch apart.

The back is made up of various pieces of red/pink/white printed fabrics that I had stashed away.

I wish I had the energy to use up my DRAWERS full of fabric like this !  I love this type of back on a quilt.

Also, the LORD has seen fit to let me win another wonderful prize.....

...this time from a drawing at our local health fair.  I was contacted this afternoon to let me know that I had won the 1100 watt Nutri Ninja Professional pitcher/singleserve blender !
I hope I will now be able to enjoy fruit in my diet again !  Drinking fruit would be much easier for me than eating it !  God is just so very good to me.......not just when I win things !  ALL THE TIME !  But winning surely is fun !

A quiet Labor Day

Hubby and I spent this holiday getting some much-needed mowing done.  We finished the front yard and part of the back...........it's getting to be quite a chore for this couple of oldies.  But it looks so pretty when it's mowed, with it's gently undulating front yard and all of the blooming flowers and bushes....we are so very blessed !
Believe it or not, the one on the right is older than the rest of us and we were celebrating his 62nd birthday, which is today.  Looking good, John !
Yesterday, I did a little bit of running around, catching up with 4 of my 5 brothers.  Two live here in town, and I see them at church, but one lives in Fairview, and one in Murfreesboro, so it was good to catch a visit with them.

I've been busy with some hand-quilting, but I've reached the borders, and I don't know what I'm going to put in three of them (followed the fabric's printed pattern for the fourth), so it has me stopped in my tracks for now.

Hope all is well with friends out in blogland !
