Praise !

The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear?The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear....Psalm 27 1-3
Psalm 31: 7, 8
I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy; for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;
And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; thou hast set my feet in a large room.

Feeling puny

I've got my first cold of the year, and it's the first time in 40 years that I've had work to go to when I felt bad.  Makes me admire how MANY, many times my husband went to work feeling horribly bad.   He was such a good provider.

In the night last night, I coughed so hard my lungs burned and I thought that I was going to be heading out to the doctor's office.  But I managed to grab a nap midmorning, and I feel okay to go on into work right now.   My biggest problem seems to be that I don't have much appetite, so it's hard to keep up my energy; but God got me through yesterday, and I know I can continue to count on Him.

Hope you're all doing well and enjoying the change in seasons.

  1. I'm sorry you caught that cold, and I hope you have a speedy recovery. This is the time of year for sure. It rained here most of the day and I missed the sunshine for sure. But...I have started a jigsaw puzzle and it is relaxing while I listen to Audibile's free audio book 'Cloudy Jewel' by Grace L. Hill. I have always loved her books.

    1. Oh, I love her books. I never thought of looking for them on audible.

      I'm trying my best not to call in sick as I figure that since I'll turn 60 in a few weeks, surely there will be things that I need a sick day for more than just a cold. I'm being a wimp.

Thanks for stopping by !
