" Do you not know?
Have you not heard???

The LORD is the everlasting GOD,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary,
and His understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary,
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:28-31

"The Sovereign LORD has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary.
He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught." Isaish 50:4

Fun mail !

You can just imagine how many bills fill my mailbox lately, with hubby having had his hip surgery in February, so anything that breaks up the monotony of that is a welcome relief.

But this was extra fun............

I've seen these fabric postcards mentioned online but never received or sent one myself.  What a fun little treasure to receive !  Thanks, Wanda Gayle !

Following Leslie's lead, I'd like to mention my favorite quilt-making notion.............binding clips !  They're basically just the plain version of hair clips, but they ended the self-induced acupuncture I used to endure while binding a quilt that was pinned with straight pins............don't wanna ever go back to THAT !  You just turn the folded edge to the back of the quilt and secure it every 2 inches or so with a clip, rather than with a pin.

  1. Glad you liked the post card!
    I was just thinking about that butterfly quilt. It was such fun to make that I ended up making the "pattern" twice! (rare for me). This one for Zoe and a yellow background for a young cousin in Michigan. I have lots of bright scraps left...maybe need to make another one. But not starting any new projects yet... :)
    Hope your day is great!

  2. hey,

    hmm...such an interesting card, and that hair clips sounds handy :)

    and i love the purpish background.

  3. Very cute mail, how fun! And I adore the gorgeous butterfly quilt, that is a lucky granddaughter:)
    Thanks for sharing the binding clips idea, hadn't seen that before and it looks like a great idea!

  4. What a cute card! I also use the binding clips. They make things so much easier!

  5. What fun to have in your mailbox. The boys always ask if there's anything in the mail for them. I say, "Only if you want to pay the bills." For some reason, they never say "Yes."

  6. In closer look it appears the post office smudged ink on the front of the postcard :(
    Oh well...you get the idea :)

Thanks for stopping by !
