“I have given skill to all the skillful, so that they may make all that I have commanded you. “ Exodus 31:6

“O Thou who art the all pervading glory of the world, we bless Thee for the power of beauty to gladden our hearts.
We praise Thee that even the least of us may feel a thrill of the creative joy when we give form and substance to our thoughts and, beholding our handiwork, find it good and fair. “.
Walter Rauschenbusch

"Come, and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me.
I cried out to Him with my mouth; His praise was on my tongue.
If I had cherished sin in my heart, the LORD woud not have listened and heard my voice in prayer.
Praise be to God, Who has not rejected my prayer or withheld His love from me!" Psalm 66:16-20

I don't know how she does it !

My pal, Jodie Ann, stays at this piecing and quilting day IN and day OUT !

Jodie, you're 8 years older than I am, and I am beat !   What's your secret.........a lifetime of working both outside of the home and there, too?

Phewwwww.....

Anyway, I'm piecing a simple little quilt for another gift, hopefully.  I made all of the blocks and couldn't satisfactorily arrange them in a scrappy, random manner.  So, after playing around with them a bit, I came up with this design and I'm going for it.  The recipient I have in mind spends alot of time not feeling well, but studying her Bible or watching television evangelists.  The quilt should finish about the right size for recliner snuggling, around 50 x 60 inches.

I got the rows pieced before wearing out, so I can sew the rows to one another tomorrow, Lord willing.

'See' you all tomorrow !

  5. Dolly, you amaze me with all the beautiful things you make! I wish I had one half your motivation.....even one fourth lol. Looks like another beautiful summer-type day. I must try to pull a few weeds to tidy up, if my leg will permit. Its doing so much better...oh may it be so.
