“I have given skill to all the skillful, so that they may make all that I have commanded you. “ Exodus 31:6

“O Thou who art the all pervading glory of the world, we bless Thee for the power of beauty to gladden our hearts.
We praise Thee that even the least of us may feel a thrill of the creative joy when we give form and substance to our thoughts and, beholding our handiwork, find it good and fair. “.
Walter Rauschenbusch

"Come, and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me.
I cried out to Him with my mouth; His praise was on my tongue.
If I had cherished sin in my heart, the LORD woud not have listened and heard my voice in prayer.
Praise be to God, Who has not rejected my prayer or withheld His love from me!" Psalm 66:16-20

A quiet Saturday

Cloudy days seem to be winning around here, but atleast we're out of the freezing temperatures during the day.  We drove to the next town over yesterday, and hubby and I treated ourselves to Long John Silvers batter-dipped fish fillets for dinner.......my favorite fast food !

Kindof at a standstill, craftywise......I guess I should be quilting on the monster again, but don't really want to !  I also haven't made a firm decision on the sock.  I just waste SO MUCH TIME in indecision.   Do you do that?  I mean, I fill the time in other ways, but still......

Then there's this friend.......
....my pal, Jodie, is being very productive........she pieced these tops this weekend.......
I think that I can safely say that she is enjoying her retirement.   The girl always put us to shame with her productivity when she WASN'T retired.........look out for her now....there'll be no stopping her !

  2. Hi Dolly! Wow, 2 quilts tops in a wekend..and so pretty. She puts me to shame.~~~ About the 'Highlights' magazine..I took a card out of the one at our gym. The card says, 'bill me' for 12 issues at $2.27 per issue plus 20 cents per issue for p&h. Plus they will send a free 'hidden pictures' fun booklet with your order. Hope this helps, weren't you impressed with how many games & stories they have online? I was....=) I know Toys 'R' Us carries them but oh the price for a single issue!

  5. Aren't told sometimes there is a time for rest? To gather our thoughts, and spend time meditating on what is really important!

I love Long John Silver's chicken, but it's not good for me too often. LOL

Weather here souns about the same as yours. Love the temps being above freezing though.

There'll be time to quilt when the mood strikes and you are motivated. Until then, enjoy your hubbby, good friends and yummy food!
