I prepared this one and worked on it
at the quilter's get-together, so I didn't
throw off my "apron-day" schedule.
When I finished that, I lay out all my hexagons
and made my arrangement for
my Bible bookcover.
I got a letter from my brother, Richard, today. He's the only brother that I haven't actually seen since returning here after my 32 year absence. We've been writing to each other, as he doesn't drive, and hardly uses their cell-phone. Today when I opened his letter, I found that he had enclosed a photo of himself that had been taken at Thanksgiving. I was so excited to see what he looks like after all these years. I've GOT to make plans to visit him soon........he's only about an hour and a half away, I think. He helps his wife make quilts every summer, when she's not teaching school !
I also spoke to the lady for whom I'm making the latest baby quilt. She was really excited to hear that it's nearly finished. She was wishing the baby to hurry, and I told her, "NO, no ! The baby can take his time......the quilt WILL WAIT !"
That's right - keep those babies in until it's time!
ReplyDeleteLol, the sock monkey in your blog header today just made my day!! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteJust got caught up on reading all of your posts that I missed. I love today's apron, it's so colorful.
And your bible cover is going to be lovely. (I lost both of my bibles in our home disaster, but will be ordering new ones soon.)When things get back to normal around here I may try making a cover too.
I am so glad you reconnected with your brother, and it's very cool that he helps his wife quilt!!!
