“I have given skill to all the skillful, so that they may make all that I have commanded you. “ Exodus 31:6

“O Thou who art the all pervading glory of the world, we bless Thee for the power of beauty to gladden our hearts.
We praise Thee that even the least of us may feel a thrill of the creative joy when we give form and substance to our thoughts and, beholding our handiwork, find it good and fair. “.
Walter Rauschenbusch

"Come, and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me.
I cried out to Him with my mouth; His praise was on my tongue.
If I had cherished sin in my heart, the LORD woud not have listened and heard my voice in prayer.
Praise be to God, Who has not rejected my prayer or withheld His love from me!" Psalm 66:16-20

It did it again !

This year's snow is so strange !
It doesn't just fall in flakes,.......clumps of snow were actually coming down......CLUMPS !

I thought about heading back down to the home, since it was just raining, but I was watching the news and weather to see what was expected.  5 minutes after the weather said that our county would stick with rain, the HUGE snow pattern started, and once again the driveway was covered within 10 minutes.

I don't guess I'll be going back tonight.  I wish that hubby had a phone in his room, because I know he'll miss Piper's visit.  I'd call, but last time they didn't give him the message.
I asked him to name 3 things that he was thankful for today, and Piper was number one, followed by heat and food, I think.   Naggy Jane here wasn't on today's list, and I understand that !  There's a fine line between encouragement and nagging, and I'm afraid I overstep it occasionally.

When I left him this afternoon, he had just finished an hour and a half of physical therapy, and they wanted him to stay in the wheelchair for another 30 minutes.  He was really tired, but he gets so tired of lying there, too !

  1. Glad they are being very persistent with the physical therapy! It will make a big difference. Sometimes I think that the difference between nagging and encouragement is largely determined by the person receiving it :)
So even with good intentions and attempts to be encouraging...it is not always received as such. You are a VERY wonderful and devoted wifey!

  2. It's good that he is working so hard on his therapy, that is so important!
You must be getting tired of snow by now! We are finally getting our share, it's coming down steady here and we'll have 8-10 inches by tommorrow morning. The kids are all looking forward to having a snow day, and I am too!

  3. Yes, the snow makes a big difference in the roads. You are a good driver to drive in the winter....guess you can tell I don't. I'm a summer driver only. Your hubby sounds like he is working very hard. The therapy departments are wonderful I think. They can make such a huge difference. God bless you both! May every passing day bring healing and strength.
