“I have given skill to all the skillful, so that they may make all that I have commanded you. “ Exodus 31:6

“O Thou who art the all pervading glory of the world, we bless Thee for the power of beauty to gladden our hearts.
We praise Thee that even the least of us may feel a thrill of the creative joy when we give form and substance to our thoughts and, beholding our handiwork, find it good and fair. “.
Walter Rauschenbusch

"Come, and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me.
I cried out to Him with my mouth; His praise was on my tongue.
If I had cherished sin in my heart, the LORD woud not have listened and heard my voice in prayer.
Praise be to God, Who has not rejected my prayer or withheld His love from me!" Psalm 66:16-20

Pinwheely goodness.....day 3

Yellow was the order of the day.

I got up and finished yesterday's yellow print blocks, and started on the yellow-striped ones.  This print ran a bit short, due to the fact that I'm oversizing an eighth of an inch so that I can square up the piecing when finished.  But there were a couple of extra flower print squares, so I added them into the mix.  This quilt will definitely call for some wise fabric use, but I'm up to the challenge.

I looked around on the internet today to see if this fabric is still available, just incase I actually run TOO short to improvise..............nope......VERY HARD TO FIND.   So, I"m saving any scrap bigger than an inch, just incase I have to piece some pieces !

Good day today otherwise as well.  Started the day with a visit to the sister-in-law that lives about 2 miles away.  Ya know, I was really excited when I moved back, to realize that my brothers were all still alive and well, and I would now be living close to them.  But, the sister-in-law thing is new to me,.........AND I LOVE IT.  The guys either weren't married yet, or hadn't been married long when I left, so I didn't know what it was like to have the sister-in-LOVE in my daily life (with me as an adult).  I had always wanted a sister , as you can imagine, growing up with 5 brothers.  Today, I was messing around with my sis-in-law's garden, and she remarked, "I've got myself another daughter !"   Well, she's 78, so she thought of me that way, but I got home and realized, "NO, you've got yourself another sister !"  She hasn't been around me enough for it to sink in on her either !

Wow..........I am just so VERY blessed !

My brother then joined hubby and me, and we all went to the nursing home together.  It was a wonderful morning, followed by a great afternoon of piecing........with an hour's nap squeezed in under the cool air from the window fan, just for good measure !
PRAISE THE LORD !
